The World Health Organization define mental health as:

"a state of well-being in which the individual realizes their own abilities, can cope with the normal stressors of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to their community."
For many young adults mental health isn't always consistent, mental illness can be transferred in to young adult hood from the teenage years, and it isn't always clear when or where to get help. This post is a compilation of resources for young adults in regards to mental health if they have questions, need assistance, or are unable to receive any other mental health services.
Please seek professional counseling or treatment if you think you have a mental illness, feel at risk of harming yourself or others, or if your mental health gets in the way of school or work. None of these resources can be a true replacement for mental health care, and please call you local emergency number if you are in direct danger.
Please note that some of these resources may be based in the US only.
